King Prawns a la Cusana

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of king prawn tails (frozen king prawns)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Garlic clove(s), to taste
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • Tomato paste, at least 1 tbsp, better 2-3
  • 1 jar pepper, green (in brine)
  • 1 shot of white wine or sparkling wine
  • 250 g cream or cremefine for cooking

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Thaw the king prawns and pat them dry. Brown them in a pan with butter, season with salt and pepper, and then transfer them to a casserole dish. In the same pan, sauté the finely chopped garlic and onion, add the tomato paste, sauté briefly, and then deglaze with wine or sparkling wine. Now add the drained green peppercorns and cream. Mix the sauce well and pour over the king prawns. Bake in the oven at around 220°C for about 20 minutes. Baguette is fine as a side dish; alternatively, I recommend rice and a fresh salad.
