Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 12 scampi, peeled except for the tail end
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced lengthwise
- 4 slices of ginger
- 2 tsp lemon zest, grated
- 1 tsp orange peel, grated
- 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
- 1 vanilla pod(s), scraped out seeds
- Sea salt
- Pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
with a magnificent aroma composition
Heat oil in a pan and fry the scampi for 2 minutes. Melt the butter in the pan. Add the garlic, ginger, cinnamon stick, vanilla, lemon zest, and orange zest. Cook the scampi for another 2 minutes, tossing well to allow the flavors to disperse. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with baguette and green salad or basmati rice.
