Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 apples
  • lemon juice
  • Cinnamon powder
  • 100 g raisins or rum raisins, as desired
  • 110 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 90 g butter
  • 100 g almonds, ground
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Apple casserole with delicious almond crumble

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Peel the apples and cut them into wedges. Drizzle with lemon juice and toss with cinnamon powder and raisins, if desired. Transfer the mixture to a shallow baking dish. Mix the flour, sugar, butter, almonds, and cinnamon into a crumbly batter and spread it over the apples, ensuring they are completely covered. Bake for 25-30 minutes, let cool briefly, and serve with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Vanilla sauce also tastes good with the dish.
