Apple cinnamon waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-sized apple
  • 3 tbsp, heaped flour
  • 1 ½ tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 20 g butter or margarine
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp lemon zest, grated, optional
  • some powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

very simple recipe

Peel the apple, if desired—it’s not absolutely necessary—and grate it coarsely. Add all the other ingredients, mix together, and let it sit for 5 minutes. If you like, you can also add half a teaspoon of grated lemon zest to the batter. Bake the batter in a waffle iron until golden brown. Let the finished waffles cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar. This batter yields 4 waffles.
