Mango in spicy salsa with steamed tuna fillet

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 lime(s), untreated, zest grated, juiced
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil, dark
  • Salt
  • 1 mango(s), ripe
  • 300 ml vegetable stock, alternatively vegetable broth
  • 4 tuna fillets, approx. 150g each
  • 1 tbsp peanuts, roasted, salted, coarsely chopped
  • 2 spring onions, cut diagonally into very fine rings

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine the lime zest and 2 tablespoons of juice with the sambal oelek, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt. Heat the broth in a pan, rinse the tuna, pat dry, season with salt, and add it to the broth. Cover and let the fillets simmer over low heat for about 3-5 minutes. Drain the tuna, arrange on plates, and drizzle with half of the salsa. Arrange the thinly sliced ​​mango flesh on top and drizzle with the remaining salsa. Serve with the spring onions and nuts.
