Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 bulbs of fennel
- Salt
- 1 pkt. processed cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Wash and halve the fennel bulbs, removing the woody stem. Trim and finely chop the fine fennel greens. In a large pot, simmer the bulbs in salted water over medium heat with the lid closed for about 20-30 minutes, until al dente or soft. Fennel takes a relatively long time to cook, so check the cooking time occasionally with a knife tip. In another pot, combine about 2-3 ladles of the fennel liquid with the cream cheese. Add the fennel greens and bring to a boil. Serve with rice or stir-fries.
