Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 6 rolls, stale
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 50 ml water
- 50 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 apples or more, to taste
- e.g. cinnamon powder or
- n. B. cinnamon sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Cut the rolls into slices. Peel, quarter, core, and slice the apples. Whisk together the water, sugar, vanilla sugar, and cornstarch until lump-free, then add the coconut milk and mix well. Pour the mixture over the rolls and let it sit for a moment. Place half of the bread mixture in a baking dish and top with the apple slices. Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon or cinnamon sugar. Spread the rest of the bread mixture on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 160°C (fan-assisted) for 30-35 minutes on the middle rack, until the top layer of bread is nicely browned. Delicious hot or cold. Serve with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream, or applesauce.
