a heavenly dessert

Peel the apples and cut them into 1 cm thick slices. Toss with lemon juice and layer them in a small greased baking dish. First, mix the flour, sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt, and finely chopped almonds and walnuts with the dough hook of a mixer and then with your hands to form a crumble. Spread evenly over the apples and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (convection oven) for about 30 minutes. Serve while still lukewarm on plates and dust with powdered sugar. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla sauce, whichever you prefer. The crumble will be especially crispy if prepared the day before and refrigerated.
