Pickled feta or sheep's cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of feta cheese or sheep’s cheese
  • 2 onions, red
  • 4 sprigs rosemary, fresh
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 150 ml chili sauce, Thai (hot and sweet)
  • ½ liter of oil (sunflower oil)
  • Pizza seasoning

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Slice onions into rings and dice feta or sheep’s cheese. Layer half of the onions in a large bowl, then add the cheese and rosemary. Crush the garlic and season generously with pizza seasoning. Pour the Thai chili sauce over the onions. Sprinkle with the remaining onions and pour over the sunflower oil (it should cover everything). Sprinkle with more pizza seasoning. Let the mixture sit for about 3 days. It’s delicious with hearty farmhouse bread, but also for grilling or as an appetizer with salad and white bread. Stored in jars, it also keeps well and makes a great gift.
