Oven-baked liver

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g pork liver(s)
  • 4 large onions
  • 1 pack of bacon
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 cup of cream
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

easy and fast

Peel and slice the onions. Fry the onions in a pan with butter until light brown and sprinkle generously with salt and pepper. Then fry the bacon in the pan for a while. Core the apple and slice it. Place half of the onions in a baking dish. Place half of the bacon on top and half of the apple slices. Then spread the raw liver on top and season well with salt and pepper. Add the remaining onions and the rest of the bacon. Spread the cream evenly over the liver and place the remaining apple slices on top. Bake in the oven at around 180°C for around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on how thick the liver pieces are.
