Protein bread for the bread maker

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 4 eggs (size L)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp bran (wheat bran)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 100 g flaxseed, whole or crushed
  • 30 g bran (spelt or oat bran)

Instructions

Working time approx. 3 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 13 minutes

First, add the quark, then the eggs, salt, baking powder, bran, and flaxseed to the bread maker and mix well. Then place the bread maker in the regular program (mine takes 2 hours and 10 minutes). Two slices per day will last for four days. I keep it in the fridge. It tastes delicious toasted, too. Optionally, you can also add caraway seeds, seeds (approx. 10-20 g), or grated carrots. The sky’s the limit.
