Topped cheese ciabatta

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 125 ml water, warm
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ pack of dry yeast
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • margarine
  • some cheese, vegan
  • some tomatoes
  • Herbs (Italian herbs)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

In a large bowl, mix the warm water with the dry yeast, sugar, salt, and sunflower oil. Add the flour and breadcrumbs and knead into a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise for about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Shape the dough into a loaf. Line a baking sheet with baking paper, place the loaf on it, and bake on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. Let it cool slightly. Then cut the loaf in half. First spread with margarine, then place the vegan cheese slices on top. Wash a few tomatoes, slice them, and place them on top of the cheese. Sprinkle with Italian herbs and serve.
