Oven-baked potatoes in fan shape
Peel the potatoes and then cut them at approximately 0.5 cm intervals. It’s important that the slices remain connected at the “bottom” of the tuber. You can place the potato between the handles of two wooden spoons and then make the cuts. This ensures that you don’t cut all the way through. Place the prepared potatoes in a casserole dish or on a baking sheet and season. We usually season them with herb salt and garlic, then top them with butter flakes. Bake in a preheated oven on the middle rack at 200°C (top/bottom heat) (gas mark 4) for approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. After 25 minutes in the oven, drizzle the potatoes again with the melted butter. Five minutes before the end of the baking time, you can sprinkle the potatoes with cheese, if you like. Tip: We really like fan-shaped potatoes because they look interesting and can be varied in many different flavors. – Various herbs such as thyme, oregano, etc. – Various spices such as curry or paprika. You’re sure to develop your own personal creation.
