Oriental tomato salad with sesame

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 150 g natural yogurt
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, coarsely chopped
  • ½ lemon(s), juice
  • 2 pinches of cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly olives, black, pitted

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with or without olives

Wash and halve the tomatoes, removing the stems. Roughly dice. For the dressing, squeeze the juice of half a lemon and mix with the yogurt, cumin, and sambal oelek. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for a few minutes until golden brown. Add to the yogurt mixture and season with salt and pepper. Finally, carefully toss the tomatoes with the dressing and chopped parsley. Serve as a side salad or as an appetizer with flatbread. Tip: If desired, add 1/2 jar of black olives (drained and halved).
