Roasted sunflower seeds

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g sunflower seeds
  • 160 g sugar
  • 120 ml water
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Wait until the water has evaporated, stirring occasionally. Once the water has evaporated, let the sugar caramelize; that is, it will become liquid again and take on a brownish color. Stir continuously so that all the seeds brown evenly and nothing burns. Once the desired color is achieved, place the sunflower seeds on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, spread them out, and let them cool. Enjoy lukewarm.
