Apple pancakes from the oven

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 apple
  • 20 g butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp, whipped sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • 100 g spelt flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • ½ tsp, leveled salt
  • 3 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Core the apple, peel it if desired, and slice or chunk it. Melt the butter in an ovenproof skillet or ovenproof casserole dish. Place the apple slices in the skillet and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake in the middle of the oven for 5-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the slices. Mix the flour with the milk to form a smooth batter. Add the salt and eggs and beat until smooth. Remove the skillet from the oven. Pour the batter over the apple slices and return to the oven. Bake for 20 minutes, until the pancake is golden brown. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
