Blueberry Jam

The perfect blueberry jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1200 g Blueberries fresh
  • 1 Lemon fresh
  • 600 g Preserving sugar
  • Vanilla pulp
  1. Sort the blueberries, wash them in a colander and drain well. Now put the fruits in a saucepan with the preserving sugar. Wash the lemon with hot water and tear off half the zest from the peel with a zest, now squeeze the lemon and add the juice. Mix everything well.
  2. Now put the pot on the stove and bring the fruit to a boil and simmer for a good 4 minutes. Halve the vanilla pod and scrape out the pulp.
  3. Reduce the heat completely and use the hand blender to finely puree the fruit. Add the vanilla pulp.
  4. Pour blueberry jam into sterile twist-off jars. Let cool down. Now put the cooled jam away in a dark and cool place.
