Marinated salmon with sesame crust

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 salmon fillets, without skin
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • salt and pepper
  • sesame
  • Oil, for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

can be prepared well in large quantities

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Remove any brown spots on the underside of the salmon fillets with a sharp knife. They will have a fishy taste. Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, mustard, honey, salt, and pepper to create a creamy marinade. Brush the salmon with this. Place the sesame seeds on a large, flat plate and press the salmon fillets into the sesame seeds to coat them all over. Place the salmon fillets on an oiled or parchment-lined baking sheet and place them on the middle rack of the oven. Reduce the temperature to 160°C and cook the salmon for about 20 minutes. Serve with black rice (recipe in my profile) and Mughlai Sag (spinach with onions). http://www.chefkoch.de/rezepte/658321167560676/Spinat-mit-Zwiebeln.html Tip: By preparing this dish on a baking sheet in the oven, it’s quick and easy to prepare large batches. For example, I made 12 salmon fillets at once. Even the side dishes are still easy to handle in this quantity.
