Crispy fried chicken

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 chicken
  • 80 g margarine
  • 4 tbsp paprika powder
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Remove any innards, if present, then wash and pat dry. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the chicken and rub the outside well with salt and pepper. Melt the margarine in a saucepan until foamy, then add the paprika and stir. Place the chicken in a roasting pan (or large casserole dish) and brush with the paprika marinade. Bake in the oven at 200-180°C for about 75 minutes. Turn the chicken over once and brush frequently. Tip: If you like it a bit spicier, add a little chili powder to the marinade.
