Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 chicken (roast chicken, approx. 1,100 g)
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
- 1 tsp curry OR spice mix for poultry
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Tupperware Ultra
Halve the chicken, pat dry and season inside and out. Put the chicken back together and place in the 2 liter Ultra. Put the lid on and microwave at 600 watts for 13 minutes. Then take it out of the microwave. Remove the lid and place one half with the cut side on the lid. Drain off any liquid that has run out (to make it crispier and to keep the meat juices for gravy). Place the other half in the container and bake in the oven at 180 degrees (preheated) for 17 minutes. You can’t cook a chicken that quickly the traditional way. The advantage of cutting the chicken in half is that it is guaranteed to be nice and crispy and you keep the meat juices for gravy. If you don’t cut the chicken in half, the underside will not be crispy as a small amount of liquid will still run out. If you have a 3 liter Ultra, you can also quickly prepare a duck or a larger roast chicken this way.
