Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 10 potatoes, young, waxy, raw, washed, quartered
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp sea salt, fine
  • ½ tsp smoked salt
  • 2 tsp, heaped paprika powder, sweet, definitely smoked
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Western style – nice smoky taste

Wash and brush the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry. Make a marinade from the oil, garlic, and spices. Mix the quartered potatoes thoroughly and let them marinate for at least half an hour, stirring occasionally. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat) or 180°C (fan). Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the potatoes on the baking tray, spreading them out evenly. Bake for 45 minutes, turning occasionally. After 45 minutes, remove the tray and absorb any excess liquid with kitchen paper. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes to crisp up the potatoes.
