Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 125 g celery
- 125 g parsnip(s)
- 125 g carrot(s)
- 125 g leek
- 3 cloves garlic
- 250 ml white wine
- 250 ml water
- salt and pepper
- 3 tbsp oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Season the chicken pieces with salt and sear them well on all sides in oil. Then remove the meat from the pan, add the cleaned and diced root vegetables (except for the leeks and garlic) to the pan, and roast them in the roasting residue. Finally, add the leeks and garlic and roast briefly, then pour in the wine and water. Season the meat with pepper and salt if necessary, add it to the remaining ingredients, and simmer over low heat for 40-45 minutes.
