Pizza with a difference and much tastier

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 package of pizza dough, ready-made from the refrigerated section
  • 1 package of cream cheese with herbs
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 5 m.-large tomato(s)
  • 2 packs of mozzarella, more if desired
  • 100 g ham (e.g. Black Forest or Serrano)
  • n. B. Cheese, grated
  • e.g. basil, fresh and dried
  • n. B. Pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cream cheese instead of tomato sauce

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll out the finished pizza dough onto it (note: with the amount specified above, you shouldn’t roll out the dough any further; just leave it as it is. Even if it doesn’t fill the entire sheet and the dough looks a bit small). Spread the cream cheese evenly over the dough. Wash the tomatoes, slice them, and arrange them on top of the cream cheese. Slice the onion and arrange them over the tomatoes. Sprinkle with dried basil, if desired. Drain the mozzarella thoroughly and arrange the slices over the tomatoes. Since there’s still some “free space” between two packages of mozzarella, you can now fill the gaps with grated cheese (highly recommended!). Place the sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes (follow the package instructions). Then remove the sheet from the oven and cut the finished pizza into slices. Just before serving, tear the ham into pieces, arrange them on the pizza slices, and grind fresh pepper over them. The leftovers, if there are any, can be eaten cold the next day.
