Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g cranberries
  • 280 g sugar
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, small, finely grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Remove the stems from the cranberries and wash them thoroughly. In a large saucepan, boil the sugar, ginger, and wine for 10 minutes. Then add the berries and boil for another 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Finally, stir in a generous tablespoon of orange juice. Immediately pour the mixture into sterile twist-off jars while still hot. This amount makes three medium-sized jars.
