Spread the love

Ingredients for 9 servings:

  • 9 slices of toast
  • 1 small can/mandarin orange(s)
  • 1 small can of corn kernels
  • 9 slice(s) cheese, spicier of your choice
  • 9 slice(s) of cooked ham
  • 200g Camembert(s)
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • chili powder
  • rosemary
  • 4 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and finely chop the garlic, and mix it with the olive oil, salt, and a little pepper in a small bowl. Drain the mandarins and corn, then transfer the mandarins to a larger bowl and lightly mash them with a fork. Add the corn and mix gently. Remove the oven rack from the oven, preheat the oven to approximately 180°C (top/bottom heat), and line the rack with a layer of baking paper. Arrange the slices of toast on the paper and lightly sprinkle with the garlic oil, but don’t drown them! Top the slices of toast with the ham, the mandarin-corn mixture, and season to taste. Cut very thin slices of Camembert and place them in the same way, more centrally, on the toast. Top with the sliced cheese and place in the oven. While the toast is baking, thinly slice the spring onions. After about 15 minutes – depending on the desired browning – remove from the oven and garnish with the spring onions.
