Spaghetti nests

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • Water (salt water)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 700 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 pack of cooked ham
  • 1 pack of cheese (e.g. Edam), grated
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • basil
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente, then drain. Peel and dice the onion. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent. Add the tomato paste and flour and sauté briefly. Add the chopped tomatoes, bring to a boil, and season with salt, pepper, and basil. Slice the spring onions into rings. Cut the cooked ham into small pieces. Mix the ham and spring onions with the spaghetti. Pour the tomato sauce into a greased baking dish. Arrange the spaghetti in small nests on top of the sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 175°C (top and bottom heat) for approximately 15-20 minutes.
