Minced meat – mushroom – potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 600 g potatoes, waxy, cooked (possibly from the previous day)
  • 4 m.-sized tomatoes
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 large onions
  • 100 g mushrooms, fresh
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • ¾ liter meat broth
  • Flour
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • Cheese, grated, amount to taste

Instructions

Brown the minced meat until crumbly, wash or trim and finely chop the onions, tomatoes, peppers, and mushrooms. Once the minced meat is browned, add the vegetables and braise everything. Finely chop or press the garlic and braise it with the meat, then stir in the mustard. Dust everything with a little flour, stir well, and pour in the meat broth. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce. In a casserole dish, first layer the sauce, then the sliced ​​potatoes, then more sauce and potatoes, and finish with the sauce. Then sprinkle the cheese on top. Bake in the oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. The casserole can also be finished cooking in the microwave; the cheese will then stay nice and soft.
