Gratinated Taco Pan 'Mexico'

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 650 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 can of vegetables (Mexican mix)
  • 50 g tacos (taco chips)
  • 100 g cheese, grated (Gouda)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion and dice it into small cubes. Finely chop the garlic. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the onion and garlic. Add the minced meat in batches and fry until crumbly. Season with salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika. Add the tomato paste and ketchup, and deglaze with 150 ml of water. Simmer for about another 5 minutes. Drain the Mexican mix and add it to the minced meat. Spread the minced meat mixture in a baking dish. Place the chips in the minced meat mixture and sprinkle everything with the cheese. Place on the bottom rack of a preheated oven (electric oven: 200°C, fan: 175°C, gas mark 3) and bake for 8-10 minutes.
