small baked appetizer

Halve a nectarine, remove the pit, and cut into thin slices. Cut the Camembert into slightly thicker slices. Place half of the nectarine slices in two smaller ovenproof dishes and arrange half of the cheese slices in each dish. Drizzle the cheese with a generous spoonful of honey, season with pepper and saffron threads, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C on the middle rack for about 10-12 minutes. Garnish with quartered figs or fresh fruit and serve hot. Toasted farmhouse white bread goes perfectly with this.
