Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g cherries
- 100 g blueberries
- 100 g sugar
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp cornstarch or vanilla pudding powder
- 150 g flour
- 50 g oat flakes, fine
- 100 g brown sugar
- 125 g butter, soft
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- ½ pack of vanilla sugar
- 35 g almond flakes
- possibly vanilla ice cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Wash, pit, and halve the cherries. Wash the blueberries. Mix the lemon juice, cornstarch (or pudding mix, if desired), and sugar together, toss with the fruit, and pour into a crumble dish/pie dish or casserole dish. Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan/convection oven). Using your hands or a dough hook, crumble the flour, softened butter, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and oats into crumbles. Add a little more flour if the dough is too sticky. Finally, carefully mix in half of the almond flakes and spread generously over the cherries and blueberries. Sprinkle the remaining almonds on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
