  • 4 carrots

  • 1 shot of whipped cream or sour cream
  • e.g. orange juice or multivitamin juice
  • Fat, for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly curry powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

simple, delicious side dish that goes with pretty much anything

Roughly chop the onion and finely chop the garlic cloves. Peel the carrots and slice them into thin strips to cook them faster. Heat some fat in a pot (it should have a lid) and briefly fry the diced onions. Add the thinly sliced carrots to the onions, followed by the garlic. Fry for a little longer, but be careful not to let anything burn. Pour orange or multivitamin juice over the onion. Not so much that you can’t see any of the vegetables, but enough to allow the vegetables to simmer. Put the lid on and let the vegetables simmer until soft. If the liquid has evaporated but the vegetables aren’t yet tender, simply add a little more juice and simmer until done. Finally, season to taste and finish with a dash of heavy cream or sour cream.
