Cauliflower topped with buttered breadcrumbs and cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large cauliflower
  • 150 g breadcrumbs
  • 50 g butter
  • 150 g cooked ham
  • 200 g mozzarella, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean the cauliflower and cut into large florets. Pre-cook the florets in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan, cut the cooked ham into thin strips and add it. Add the breadcrumbs to the pan and toast until golden brown. Remove the cauliflower from the water, drain briefly, and place in a large, shallow baking dish. Spread the breadcrumbs and ham mixture evenly over the cauliflower, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake at 170°C (350°F) for about 25 minutes.
