Mirabelle jam with ginger

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg mirabelle plums, pitted
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 1:2
  • 50 g ginger
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 1 shot of rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Makes approx. 6 – 7 glasses.

Pit the mirabelle plums and chop them with a hand blender. Peel and finely dice the ginger. Combine the ingredients with the preserving sugar and bring to a boil while stirring. Add the lemon juice and rum and boil for 4 minutes according to the instructions on the preserving sugar packet. Then pour into the prepared jam jars, tighten the lids, and let cool upside down.
