Plum chocolate jam

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g plums
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 1:1
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 shot of plum brandy or cognac

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Stone, wash, and halve the plums. Roughly dice the halves, place everything in a saucepan, and let it steep with the sugar and vanilla pod for about 10-15 minutes. Bring to a boil and remove the vanilla pod. Let it simmer over high heat for about 10 minutes, then remove the pan from the heat. Add the plum brandy to the jam. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler while the jam cools slightly, then carefully stir in the melted chocolate. Pour everything into prepared jars and seal tightly.
