Celery salad with orange

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g celery
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • n. B. Salt, to taste
  • 2 oranges, ripe (squeezed juice)
  • 100 g walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 orange(s), grated peel, untreated
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel, untreated
  • ½ bunch parsley, flat, chopped

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Salad with an amazing combination of flavors

Clean and wash the celery, pat dry, and cut into small pieces (slices). Sauté the celery in medium-hot fat for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt to taste. Now add the orange juice. Cook the celery over low heat until tender. Taste occasionally, as everyone prefers a different firmness. Let the mixture cool until lukewarm and pour into a bowl. Just before serving, stir in the chopped walnuts, orange and lemon zest, and chopped parsley.
