Fried egg pretzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pretzel(s)
  • e.g. Emmental cheese, grated
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some chives
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 18 minutes; Total time approx. 58 minutes

Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with paper and place the pretzel on it. Sprinkle some grated Emmental cheese on the edge of the pretzel. Crack the egg and pour it into the “hole” of the pretzel. Season the egg with salt and pepper and place the pretzel in the hot oven for about 15 to 18 minutes, depending on the oven and the desired browning. After baking, remove the pretzel from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped chives. Tip: If you’re in a hurry, this recipe also works great with frozen pretzels. Simply let the pretzels thaw a little first.
