Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 255 g kidney beans, from the can
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. paprika powder
  • e.g. Tabasco
  • 4 rolls, regular or burger buns
  • 4 gherkins
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s) or vegetable onion
  • 1 head of lettuce, e.g. romaine lettuce
  • n. B. cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • e.g. mustard
  • e.g. ketchup
  • e.g. barbecue sauce
  • Oil for the pan, e.g., sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wash and drain the tomatoes and lettuce. Slice the onions, tomatoes, and pickles. Add oil to the pan, fry the bacon, and then remove. For the patties, drain the beans and mash or roughly puree them in a bowl. Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, paprika, egg, and Tabasco to taste, and mix well. Form the mixture into meatballs and flatten them slightly in the hot pan to give them a good burger shape. Fry the meat until browned on the sides. Turn once and continue cooking. Bake the buns in the oven at 120°C for about 10 minutes until crispy. Then top with sauces, meat, cheese, bacon, and vegetables as desired.
