Looks like quark balls – but it’s pizza
This snack is perfect for any kind of party. These delicious pizza poppers are guaranteed to disappear in no time. 1. If desired, cut the salami into thin slices, or dice the ham or vegetables very finely. 2. Flour the work surface, place the pizza dough on it, and roll it out thinly. Then cut out circles with a diameter of approximately 10 cm. Knead any leftover dough, roll it out again, and cut them out. 3. Spread the dough circles thinly with tomato paste, leaving a small edge free. Sprinkle with pepper and pizza seasoning, top with a slice of salami (preferably halved) and sprinkle with some mozzarella cheese. 4. Form the filled dough circles into balls between your hands, making sure to seal the dough seams properly. 5. Pour oil into a pan and heat it to approximately 160-185 degrees Celsius. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can test the temperature by dipping the handle of a wooden spoon into the oil. If it bubbles abundantly, the oil is at the right temperature. 6. Now add the pizza poppers to the hot oil and fry, turning occasionally, until they are golden yellow or lightly browned. Alternatively, the poppers can be baked in a greased springform pan or bundt cake pan at 200 degrees Celsius, or 180 degrees Celsius with a fan. 7. Briefly drain the finished pizza poppers on kitchen paper and then immediately roll them in Parmesan cheese. 8. To prepare the dip, add a few drops of oil to the cream cheese, season with pepper, pizza seasoning, and garlic granules, add a teaspoon of tomato paste, and mix everything thoroughly. 9.
