banana sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 banana(s), fully ripe
  • 3 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

delicious with anything chocolatey

Set aside about 50 ml of the milk, then pour the remaining milk into a saucepan. Mash the banana thoroughly with a fork and add it to the milk. Add the vanilla sugar (preferably homemade) and bring everything to a boil. Stir vigorously so the milk doesn’t burn. Meanwhile, mix the cornstarch with the remaining milk and add it to the boiling banana milk, stirring constantly. Let it simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens. I served the sauce with chocolate tagliatelle. I can also imagine it pairing well with chocolate pudding.
