Strawberry mirror

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 350 g strawberries
  • 35 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon(s), lemon juice, maybe a little more
  • 1 tbsp lemon(s), lemon juice, maybe a little more
  • Liqueur (cherry liqueur), as desired (but no cherry liqueur)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Everyone can vary the fruit juice in this mirror to their liking. For the sauce, hull and quarter the strawberries, place them in a saucepan with the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lime juice, and boil for 5 to 7 minutes. Then pass them through a fine sieve. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Season with cherry liqueur to taste. Alternatively, you can, of course, use strawberry liqueur. However, that seemed a bit one-sided to me. I always make larger batches and freeze them in single-serve containers. Then I add the liqueur only after thawing. If you want to play around with the type of liqueur, you can also make this mirror with other fruits. For children, you can of course omit the liqueur altogether.
