Apple Strudel with Frozen Puff Pastry

The perfect apple strudel with frozen puff pastry recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

The ingredients of the frozen puff pastry:

  • 375 g Puff pastry
  • 400 g Apple pieces
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • Egg to coat and clap open
  • Icing sugar

The preparation of the frozen puff pastry

  1. I take the puff pastry out of the refrigerator. I crack an egg in a small vessel and whisk it. I brush the four sides of the puff pastry with the beaten egg. I drain my apple cubes in a colander and collect the juice in a bowl. I put the raisins in a small bowl, add the apple cubes and sprinkle everything with cinnamon and mix everything together. With a spoon I distribute the mixture on the long side in the middle of the puff pastry. Fold the long side over the mass and repeat the same on the other side. Then I brush the whole strudel with the egg so that it should be golden yellow when baking. I press the right and left edges together with a fork and fold them up or down. Then I lift the apple strudel onto a baking tray and put everything in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees and on the middle rack. After baking, I let it cool for 30 minutes, sprinkle it with icing sugar and cut it into portions before I serve it. I wish you bon appetit!
