Mulled wine jelly

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bottle of wine, red, dry
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 carnations
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 kg gelling sugar, 1:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

for 4 glasses of 450 ml each

Combine all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil gently for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the spices and pour the jelly into jars while still hot. Seal the jars immediately and turn them upside down for at least 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I can’t say how long the jelly will keep. I served it with fresh waffles, and unfortunately, there wasn’t much left over.
