- 500 g apples, preferably Elstar, prepared and weighed
- 500 g plum(s), red, prepared, weighed
- 2 tsp speculatius spice
- 500 g gelling sugar 2:1

Christmassy
Wash, peel, core, and chop the apples. Wash, halve, core, and chop the plums. Combine the fruit, speculaas spice, and sugar in a large pot and stir to combine. Let stand until juice has formed, then puree. Bring to a boil and simmer for 4 minutes, then immediately pour into hot, rinsed jars and seal tightly.
