Andi's Port Wine Jelly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml port wine
  • 250 ml orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 350 g gelling sugar (2 plus 1)
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with cinnamon and vanilla

Combine the port wine with the orange juice and bring to a boil with the cinnamon and vanilla seeds (add the scraped pod to the liquid). Simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove the vanilla pod and cinnamon sticks and add the gelling sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for another 4 minutes. Pour into jam jars and seal tightly.
