Cherry-walnut jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp orange peel
  • 100 g walnuts
  • 1,000 g sour cherries, pitted
  • 200 ml juice (elderberry juice)
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 2 tbsp dried lavender flowers

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Toast the walnuts in a non-stick pan and set aside. Pit and wash the cherries and roughly puree them in a saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients, including the walnuts, and bring to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes and then pour into prepared twist-off jars while still hot. Turn upside down for at least 5 minutes. Serves approximately 6 jars of 230 ml each.
