Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 50 g dark chocolate
- 40 g cornstarch
- 1 tsp, levelled cocoa
- ½ liter of milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- 1 pinch of salt
- possibly chocolate shavings
- possibly cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
(Chocolate Flammeri)
Break the chocolate into small pieces. Mix the cornstarch with the cocoa powder and 1/4 liter of milk. Bring the remaining milk to a boil with the sugar, scraped vanilla seeds and split pod, salt, and chocolate. Add the mixed cornstarch and boil briefly, stirring constantly. Remove the vanilla pod. Pour the mixture into a cold, rinsed mold or into 4 to 6 small molds and let cool. Only then turn out. Garnish with stiffly whipped cream and grated chocolate. Tip: For a more refined flavor, add a dash of brandy or orange liqueur to the boiling milk.
