Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cucumber(s)
- 1 tsp mustard or tomato paste
- 2 tbsp cream or milk
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- Salt and pepper from the mill
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Halve the cucumber with the skin on (or peel if desired) and remove the core. Cut into “half slices.” Place the cucumbers in a nonstick pan or pot. Sprinkle sugar over them, heat until hot, and stir. Add the remaining ingredients (except the pepper) and mix well. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Then arrange on a plate and grind the pepper over them. The cucumber will be soft on the outside and crisp on the inside. It goes wonderfully with grilled fish.
