Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g beans, green
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce, dark
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, roasted

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Paran Kong Chorim

Trim the beans and blanch for about 3 minutes. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the beans before the butter starts to brown. Then add the soy sauce and pepper, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the beans before serving. Unlike other Korean vegetable side dishes, these beans aren’t delicious cold. If you have any leftovers, be sure to reheat them before eating.
