Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g cheese, Edam in a piece
- 1 chili pepper(s) (red or green)
- 2 small onions
- 1 sprig(s) of thyme
- 1 sprig(s) rosemary
- 2 tbsp olives, green
- 2 tbsp olives, black
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 400 ml oil (soybean oil)
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 15 minutes
Peel the cheese and cut into large cubes. Wash the chili pepper, deseed it, and slice it into fine strips. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Wash and dry the herbs. Place everything in a large jar along with the olives and mustard seeds. Cover with oil and let it steep for at least 6 hours.
