Potato spirals with Parmesan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 m.-sized potatoes
  • 75 g butter, melted
  • 100 g Parmesan, grated
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp, heaped salt
  • pepper, black
  • 1 tsp, heaped herbs, Italian

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash the potatoes thoroughly and thread them lengthwise onto a wooden or metal skewer. Then, using a sharp knife, make spiral cuts into the potatoes, cutting right down to the skewer. Then pull the potatoes apart until they resemble a spiral. Mix the Parmesan with the spices and herbs and place them on a flat plate. I like to use a flat plate because it’s easier to sprinkle on, but you can of course use any other container. Brush the potatoes generously with the melted butter and immediately sprinkle with the Parmesan mixture. Make sure some of the mixture sticks to the potatoes. Place on a baking tray and bake at 180°C (convection oven) for about 25 minutes. The baking time may vary depending on how thick the spirals are cut. I usually have some Parmesan leftover. I then put it in the fridge and use it the next time I make a casserole or something similar.
